Vanessa: Would you please start by telling us a little bit about yourself?

The Dartmouth Cobras

Bianca: Hockey! Lol! Sorry, with the lockout over, I find it hard to think about anything else. You could say I’m a little obsessed. <g> When I’m not writing or reading, I’m usually watching games, so it’s no surprise that I ended up with a series revolving around the game. Bleu, blanc, et rouge is in my blood.

My life beyond writing and hockey is spent raising my two monster mini-me cohabitants. AKA, my daughters. I’m lucky, because my children are very supportive of my writing, and are all too proud to tell one and all what I do. I’m born and bred in Montreal, love cars, and have a thing for men who need damage control! ;) Those are the characters my readers end up falling in love with and I just want to hug.

Marie: What books or authors have inspired your writing?

Bianca: Besides my awesome mentor, Cherise Sinclair, I’m a big fan of Laurel K. Hamilton’s earlier work, Stephan King, Kim Harrison, and Dean Koontz. Anne Rice and Johanna Lindsey were two authors I cut my teeth on, so I know they’ve influenced my work.

The Dartmouth CobrasVanessa: What is one thing about you that your readers would find surprising or never guess about you?

Bianca: Hmm, that’s a good question. I’m a pretty open book, so I think my readers know a lot. They might be surprised to know that I’m not a big fan of romance movies. I love movies like Pride and Prejudice, but putting on something like Serendipity will get me out of there quick!

Vanessa: Can you tell us about your current work in progress, perhaps you could share a favorite fact or piece of fascinating information about it?

Bianca: Right now I’m working on OFFSIDE (The Dartmouth Cobras #4) and one of my favorite things about it is exploring how a single mother manages to be involved in the BDSM lifestyle. To top it off, she’s involved with two men. I know people manage all kinds of relationships with kids, but it’s interesting to see how she pulls it off! :)

Bianca Sommerland

Gaele: Where do your ideas come from? Do you set out to ‘outline’ a plot and situations, or do you let the characters take you along for the ride, and clean it up later?

Bianca: The latter. Sometimes I outline when I ‘see’ certain scenes ahead of time, but my characters throw a lot of curves, so I need to be flexible.

Gaele: With all the characters you have created – are there any that you feel need to have another book or series to get their “story told”?

Bianca: Without spoiling too much, I will say that the characters in GAME MISCONDUCT (The Dartmouth Cobras #1) made a big mess that will take another book to clean up. Their HFN left an opening for another character to finally have his HEA.

Gaele: Best advice you have ever been given about writing?

Bianca SommerlandBianca: Ass in chair. There’s times where you’re not sure if you can keep going, but you’ve just got to make yourself do it. The muse isn’t always kind—mine’s a bit of a sadist. Sometimes the ideas don’t flow, life gets in the way, or you just can’t get enough coffee in your system to stay conscious. Even if it’s just a few words, get them down.

Gaele: What do you do to relax, when you aren’t writing or thinking about it?

Bianca: Hockey! Lol! Seriously though, I tend to get into odd little DIY projects. My latest involved duct tape! :)

Rachel: If you could visit any time period and location (past or future) when and where would you go?

Bianca: I’d love to go to Ireland, any time period, but I think I’d choose ancient Egypt, when Cleopatra was around. She always fascinated me as a kid.

Vanessa: I’m a bit of an author stalker and I love going to signings and conventions. Do you have any upcoming appearances?

Bianca: This summer I’m going to Vegas for RomCon (the one with Jimmy Thomas) and then Savannah for Authors After Dark. I’ll be down in the states for two weeks, so I might do a little something extra! :) I’ll keep you all updated.

Bianca Sommerland

Blurb: Against some attacks, the only hope is to come out and meet the play.

Last year, Jami Richter had no plans, no goals, no future. But that’s all changed. First step, make up for putting her father through hell by supporting the hockey team he manages and becoming an Ice Girl. But a photo shoot puts her right in the arms of Sebastian Ramos, a Dartmouth Cobra defenseman with a reputation for getting any woman—or, as the rumours imply, man—he desires. And the powerful dominant wants her…and Luke. Getting involved in Seb’s lifestyle gives her a new understanding of the game and the bonds between players. But can she handle being caught between two men who want her, while struggling with their attraction to one another?

Luke Carter’s life is about as messed up as his scarred face. His mother is sick. His girlfriend dumps him. When he goes to his favorite BDSM club to blow off some steam, his Dom status is turned upside down when a therapeutic beating puts him in a good place. He flatly denies being submissive–or, even worse, being attracted to another man. He wants Jami but can’t have her without getting involved with Sebastian. Can he overcome his own prejudices long enough to admit he wants them both?

Caught between Luke and Jami, Sebastian Ramos does everything in his power to fulfill their needs. His two new submissives willingly share their bodies, but not their secrets. When his own past comes back to haunt him, the fragile foundation of their relationship is ripped apart. As he works to salvage the damage done by doubt and insecurity, he discovers that Jami is hiding something dangerous. But it may already be too late.

This ebook contains material not suitable for readers under 18. It also contains scenes that some may find objectionable, including hockey violence, BDSM, ménage sex, bondage, anal sex, sex toys, multiple partners, woman love, and man love including, but not limited to an erotic shower scene. Readers are advised not to attempt reenacting the scene while reading the ebook.

Excerpt:
A whip cracked. Screams filled the room in a lovely chorus, drowning out the dreadful music. Sebastian rounded the roped off area where Callahan had Oriana cuffed to the bondage frame. Oriana whimpered as Callahan cut through her shirt, but her cheeks were flush with arousal. As Callahan moved around behind her, he handed the knife to Perron, who stood nearby, and pulled out his wallet. He took out a credit card and sliced it down Oriana’s back.
She screamed. Callahan laughed.
“That’s just . . . twisted.”
Sebastian glanced over to where Luke had stepped up beside him. His lips quirked. “Callahan is a sadist.”
“I know, but . . . .” Luke glanced over at the knives displayed on a small, white folding table. “Not sure I get it. He never actually cuts her. What does she get out of it?”
And you would get it if he cut her? Sebastian had a feeling he understood Chicklet’s concern. Luke wasn’t asking what Callahan got out of the scene. He was curious about the sensations of the submissive. And he was reckless enough to go for the experience on a whim. Wayne had given him an easy way to do just about anything without admitting he was submissive. If he wanted to be a ‘Good Dom’, he would try it himself first.
From the corner of his eye, Sebastian saw Wayne watching the scene—no, watching Luke. He hovered close to the door to keep an eye out for anyone who didn’t belong here, but he, like Sebastian, would be relieved at some point so he could enjoy the latter half of the night.
But he wouldn’t be enjoying it with Luke. Not if Sebastian could help it.
He’s a teammate. You can’t play with him.
Of course, he wouldn’t actually be playing. He would keep things strictly educational.
Picking up a long knife with a curved blade, Sebastian moved close to Luke. His lips slanted up as Luke’s dark blue eyes widened. “A certain amount of trust is necessary for knife play. We’ve been teammates for months. Can you give me that trust?”
“Yeah, but . . . hey, we’re starting the playoffs in a few days.” Luke retreated until his back hit the wall and held up his hands. His throat worked as he swallowed. “Might be a bad idea for you to—”
“I won’t hurt you.” Sebastian let his tone drop as he reached out and fisted his hand into the front of Luke’s shirt. “Lace your fingers behind your neck.”
Luke obeyed, and Sebastian studied him for a moment, taking note of the way Luke’s dick had swelled in the confined of his leathers. He smiled as he ran the blunt side of the blade down the curve of Luke’s throat and pinned him to the wall with the press of his hips. Their dicks rubbed together through the layers of leather.
“I haven’t cut you, haven’t done much to you at all, but you’re already reacting to the threat of having the knife touch your flesh.”
“Oh, God.” Luke’s eyes fluttered shut. “I think I get it now.”
“Do you?” Sebastian slipped the blade between them and Luke went perfectly still. He gave himself enough space to cut the top two buttons off Luke’s shirt. “Imagine me using this knife to cut all your clothes from your body. Then I may or may not use something else on your skin. You wouldn’t know, because I wouldn’t let you see. I’d only let you feel.”
“Ramos . . . .”
“Sebastian.”
“Fuck, Seb—” Luke’s breath came out in hot little pants. “Stop. Please stop.”
Sebastian let out a harsh, cruel laugh. He would stop before things went too far. At this point, he could still play it off as having taught the young man a lesson. But way Luke’s lips parted tempted him to do more. So he spoke loud enough for everyone around them to hear. “Stop is not a safeword, Luke. Say it or I will hurt you.”

I love hockey-was practically born with a hockey jersey on, LOL. When I found Bianca’s book, Game Misconduct, (and read it) I was all “oh wow” and had to read more! (She’s now a must-read author for me, in addition to the likes of Cherise Sinclair and Kristen Ashley!) Can’t wait to see what the Dartmouth Cobras have up their sleeves in future books!
